2-0 on the year

The 2017-18 Varsity Baseball opened the season with a W over St. Bernard on our home field on February 20.  Having just one practice due to basketball season extending in post season play, the Bulldogs took the field with excitement mixed with a touch of anxiety.  Junior pitcher, and center fielder, Kostner Bryant earned the win.  Luke Henson, a junior catcher/2nd baseman/pitcher, relieved Bryant mid-way through the 4th.

On the following Tuesday, getting in a few more practices, the Varsity Bulldogs entered in a contest with Winston County. With back and forth leads, the Bulldogs came out with an 18-13 W. Senior pitcher/left fielder Seth Taylor took the mound and threw the first 3 innings and fellow senior Jacob Mayberry relieved.  Another senior, Payton Scott, earned the save.

We are very proud of our baseball coaches and teams on their great start!
