Math - 6

I graduated high school from Phil Campbell in 1997, and continued my education at NW-SCC from 1997-1999.  From NW-SCC, I ventured on to Athens State University where I earned my degree in Elementary Education.  I have now finished my Master's Degree from the University of West Alabama in Library Media.  YEA!

In the beginning... I taught 2nd grade in Georgia for one school year.  It was a great school, but it wasn't home.  My husband and I decided that it was time to return HOME!  My first year back, I was an aide for one of the graduation classes the county offered for our students who needed extra practice to pass the Graduation Exam.  The next year, I got my first teaching job at Tharptown, where I taught for 4 years before deciding to take time off.  I spent the next two years at home with our two boys, Carson and Landon.  Now, I am at Belgreen.! I spent my first 2 years teaching 5th grade math and 6th grade reading and math, the next two years teaching kindergarten, and the last year teaching 5th & 6th reading and math again.  Last year I became the school librarian and contiued to teach only 6th grade math.   This year I am again the school librarian and am teaching study skills.  Carson is now in the 6th grade and Landon is in 3nd grade.   We are really liking it here at Belgreen and hope to have many years to follow.

Welcome to my webpage!  This is my 7th year to teach at Belgreen, and I am enjoying every minute of it.  I have been teaching school since 2001.    I would like to thank everyone who has given me this opportunity to teach our students.  My students here at Belgreen are wonderful.  They are so full of energy and life that I have no choice but to stay on my toes.   There is not a day that goes by that I am not smiling or laughing.  I love it!!
